British American Tobacco UK has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Intern in Globe House, London – Fixed-Term contract (1 year)
This role is part of Operations Finance team which is responsible for (but not limited to) supporting the delivery of strategic projects to drive insights, automation and simplification along with exposure to the wider financial activities to manage cost, monitor inflation and savings. This requires close collaboration with key stakeholders including the procurement leadership team and colleagues in the operations finance teams.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Key projects: Support the delivery of procurement inflation model automation, menu card dashboard, improvement to savings tracking tool and other process improvement.
- Productivity Savings: Administer / monitor / track the savings tool and producing monthly report to the wider team.
- Finance Management and Reporting: Support the monthly budget cycle, monitor year to date actual and produce reports to key stakeholders.
- Track and report on KPI’s performance monthly.
- Providing general finance support to the team.
What are we looking for?
- Basic industry understanding;
- Basic financial modelling understanding;
- Advanced Excel user / Familiar with PowerPoint;
- Familiarity with the key financial statements – PL, BS, Cash Flow;
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to solve challenges in a logical way;
- Ability to think critically;
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment;
- Highly collaborative with the ability to work in a team-oriented mind-set;
- A self-starter able to operate with limited need for close supervision or guidance;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships;
- Ideally initial past professional experience (from FMCG industry, logistics companies).
