THE ROLE

We are hiring an Operations Analyst with a strong background in investment operations on a permanent, full-time basis to join a dynamic working environment. The position is based in our London office and will support core functions as outlined below.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Accurately and efficiently process investment transactions, including trade capture, confirmation, and settlement.
2. Liaise with front office, dealers, custodians and counterparties to process security settlements
3. Investigate and follow-up on outstanding trade confirmations and failed trades
4. Perform daily reconciliations of investment records with custodian and counterparty statements to identify and resolve discrepancies
5. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk
6. Ensure all transactions and operations comply with relevant regulations and internal policies
7. Maintain and update internal and external systems with investment and product reference data
8. Support product lifecycle events (e.g., onboarding of new funds, fund restructurings, and fund liquidations)
9. Assist in the testing and implementation of new systems and enhancements.
10. Handle internal as well as external ad-hoc requests
11. Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including portfolio managers, traders, custodians, and other departments

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

1. University degree (BA equivalent) and/or 2-5 years’ relevant experience in Operations/Middle Office within the Investment Management industry
2. Solid understanding of financial instruments (fixed income, equities, FX, futures, swaps, etc.)
3. Comprehensive trade settlements knowledge with experience using Omgeo CTM and Alert is an advantage
4. Process-oriented with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
5. Ability to handle multiple tasks with tight delivery schedules
6. Advanced Excel knowledge
7. Experience with VBA, SQL and Python is an advantage
8. Team-oriented, with a proactive, positive approach to tasks
9. Excellent command of English both written and spoken
10. The right to work in the UK
