Strategic Communications Writer - Pharma Review
IQVIA™ Pharma Review, is seeking a Strategic Communications Writer with a background in Medical: Communication / Marketing / PR, to join our team. The ideal candidate is a proactive writing professional with creative flair, who is looking to build on their 3+ years of relevant writing experience, and who has knowledge of Life Sciences and great communication skills.

This position is hybrid-based: our employees can work from home up to 4 days per week with 1 day in the IQVIA™ office. IQVIA™ offers a competitive salary and great benefits, including pension, healthcare, and a profit-related annual bonus. Key Responsibilities
- As a key member of our strategy team, you will be responsible for producing a variety of communications deliverables to a high standard, by carrying out the following activities:
Provide consistent, high-quality writing for assigned projects in accordance with the needs and objectives of the client, business, compliance requirements, intended audience, and modality, independently or with minimal oversight. - Writing should be grammatically correct, consistent, accurate, compliant, substantiated where required and appropriately adapted to audience.
- Methodically incorporates internal/client/author comments using a scientifically accurate and balanced approach and, with minimal senior support, able to resolve any conflicts in a professional and compliant manner.
- Monitor and take responsibility for scheduled tasks, communicating with team members to deliver on time and within budgeted scope.
- Exercise excellent interpersonal/communication skills for effective and professional liaison with internal teams, clients, healthcare professionals, and other key stakeholders.
- Respond effectively to questions related to allocated areas of responsibility.
- Work closely with the business leads to identify innovative ideas for Pharma Review marketing communication projects and participate in the creation of new business proposals/pitches as needed.
- Help to develop project specifications and cost estimates with oversight.
- Welcome feedback and look to continually improve deliverables for deeper efficacy and engagement within scope, with support.
- Follow applicable IQVIA™ company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and compliance requirements.
- Mentor more junior writers and/or less experienced colleagues as and when appropriate.
- Actively participate in an environment of continuous improvement. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences; advanced degree in scientific or medical discipline (MS, MD, PharmD, PhD) preferred.
- 3+ years of prior writing experience, preferably in a medical communications, advertising, or PR agency or within Life Sciences company.
- Native English speaker or bilingual/professionally proficient level of academic English.
- A passion for writing and pride in your work with excellent attention to detail.
- Self-directed. Prioritizes tasks and manages time efficiently to meet deadlines within budgeted scope.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work respectfully and harmoniously as part of a cross-functional team.
- Proficiency producing and formatting content in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience performing independent literature research using web-based research tools and approaches.
- Proven ability to accurately interpret and communicate scientific and clinical information.
- A basic understanding of the drug development process, congress activities, and MLR processes including ABPI and UK advertising standards code.
