Job Summary
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fire safety systems and engineering principles. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining fire protection systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. The Fire Engineer will collaborate with various teams to deliver effective fire safety solutions that protect lives and property.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, alarms, and emergency lighting.
- Build and assemble components using hand tools and power tools.
- Interpret and create electrical schematics for fire safety systems.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate fire risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with architects and contractors to integrate fire safety measures into building designs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards.
- Provide technical support during the installation of fire protection systems.
- Conduct system testing and inspections to ensure functionality and compliance.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex system designs.
- Proficiency in CAD software for designing fire protection layouts.
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools in a construction or engineering environment.
- Familiarity with electrical systems related to fire safety applications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics and engineering drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
