Actual salary: £21,453.48 per annum ( Sc1C Point 2 £29,808 FTE)

30 hours per week (Mon–Fri 9:00–15:30)

Term time only (38 weeks)

The Governors of our popular, happy, and successful Catholic school are seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and committed Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our excellent team .

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in supporting the learning and development of young children in our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) . The successful applicant will work closely with the class teacher to support children’s learning through play, structured activities, and routines that promote social, emotional , and academic growth .

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children aged 3–5 in all areas of the Early Years curriculum
• Work with individual pupils or small groups, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Assist with the physical, emotional and social care of pupils
• Help create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment
• Support behaviour management and encourage positive social interactions
• Contribute to the preparation of resources and classroom organisation
• Work in partnership with teachers and parents to support children’s development

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working in an Early Years or primary setting
• Is familiar with the EYFS framework and child development
• Has experience supporting children with additional needs (e.g. social communication difficulties, ASD, ADHD)
• Communicates effectively with children and adults
• Is organised, proactive, and passionate about early childhood education
• Will actively support the Catholic ethos of the school
