West Ham United Football Club is on the lookout for an experienced, commercially minded marketing leader to shape the future of our brand.

We are seeking a visionary Head of Marketing to lead the execution of brand, media, and marketing strategies across the Club. You’ll drive campaigns that engage fans, grow audiences, and deliver real commercial impact — across everything from ticketing and retail to hospitality and partnerships.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the Premier League’s most ambitious clubs and lead a talented team at the intersection of sport, culture, and media.

🔑 Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies across the Club.
  • Own and evolve the West Ham United brand, ensuring consistency and relevance across all channels.
  • Oversee and deliver high-performing campaigns to drive commercial results in key areas including Hospitality, Ticketing, Retail, Membership, Events, and Venue hire.
  • Lead major Club-wide campaigns and product launches, working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with partners to co-create innovative and impactful marketing activations.
  • Support the ideation and go-to-market strategy for new products, services, and revenue opportunities.
  • Oversee the management and growth of key digital platforms, including the Club website and mobile app, with a focus on user experience and engagement.
  • Report to senior leadership and the Board, providing insight, analysis, and strategic recommendations.
  • Set and manage departmental budgets.
  • Build, manage, and develop a high-performing marketing team.

🎯 The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within football, sport, media, or entertainment.
  • A track record of growing audiences and converting attention into commercial success across channels such as ticketing, partnerships, digital monetisation, and retail.
  • Experience leading and developing dynamic, cross-functional marketing and media teams.
  • A digital-first mindset with expertise in brand storytelling across multiple formats and platforms (short and long-form content, social, web, video, etc.).
  • Exceptional project management and stakeholder engagement skills — with the confidence to work closely with creatives, agencies, partners, and internal leaders.
  • Data-led decision making and performance tracking skills, with the ability to demonstrate return on investment.

⚒️ Join the Team

If you’re ready to lead the marketing efforts of one of the Premier League’s most storied and ambitious clubs, we’d love to hear from you.

  • A passion for football, an understanding of modern fan behaviour, and a strong awareness of the evolving sports media landscape.

EDI Statement

  • The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, aligning with the organisation’s business and tactical approach to eliminating barriers and addressing inequity. You agree to actively contribute to creating a discrimination-free and inclusive environment, ensuring equitable access to opportunities and benefits, while fostering a culture of dignity and respect that enables everyone to perform and achieve their potential.

  • Candidates must demonstrate their capability and willingness to uphold best practices and procedures, promoting lasting positive change while eliminating biases and barriers to attracting, achieving, and supporting talent from all communities, regardless of background, circumstances, or protected characteristics.
