Art Technician - Croydon
A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Croydon is seeking a creative, organised, and enthusiastic Art Technician to support its thriving Art department. This is a full-time, permanent role starting ASAP, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic creative environment where student expression and innovation are highly valued.
About the Role
As an Art Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality practical lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5. You will be responsible for preparing materials and equipment, maintaining studio spaces, and assisting teachers and students during practical sessions.
You will ensure that the Art rooms remain safe, organised, and well-stocked, while promoting a stimulating environment that encourages creativity. The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting both staff and students.
Key Responsibilities
• Preparing paints, drawing materials, clay, and mixed media resources for lessons
• Setting up and clearing studio spaces before and after classes
• Supporting students and teachers during practical activities
• Maintaining equipment, tools, and storage areas
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering materials
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
• Assisting with displays, exhibitions, and creative showcases

Experience and Qualifications
