Business Development Manager
About the Role
Interested in working for CBRE's fastest growing division within the Local UK business? The Health & Care division are currently recruiting a Business Development Manager to join a high performing team focused on industry leading service outcomes.
As a CBRE Business Development Manager, you will identify, develop and close new business opportunities across agreed target markets. You will shape compelling solutions that meet client requirements, protect service quality and support profitable growth.
This is a highly visible, relationship-led role for someone who can build a strong pipeline, influence senior stakeholders and lead high-quality sales and tender activity from opportunity through to close.
What You'll Do
- Develop, negotiate and close new business opportunities to meet or exceed agreed sales targets across defined markets.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with existing, prospective and new clients, providing a high standard of support throughout the sales cycle.
- Create and maintain an active, sustainable pipeline by growing established markets and identifying new opportunities.
- Use innovative approaches, market insight and professional networks to generate profitable business.
- Lead the development of compelling tenders, proposals and presentations in line with CBRE standards, coordinating input from Procurement, People, QHSE, Commercial and operational teams.
- Represent CBRE at industry events and senior-level networking opportunities, strengthening our profile and reputation in the market.
- Monitor industry developments, competitor activity and market trends, translating insight into focused business development activity.
- Maintain accurate sales records and contract documentation, complete pre-qualifications promptly and support re-bids and contract variations in line with governance and approval requirements.
What You'll Need
- Proven sales or business development experience in a relevant sector (facilities managment, manintenance, specialist services)
- A strong record of meeting targets and closing opportunities in a fast-paced, high-pressure sales environment.
- Experience producing high-quality tenders, proposals and other sales documents.
- Confidence delivering persuasive presentations and engaging senior stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a detail-conscious and methodical approach.
- The ability to influence others, build credibility and work effectively with clients, suppliers, site teams and senior leaders.
- A self-motivated, collaborative approach, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and make sound decisions under pressure.
