ASAP Start Beckton, Newham Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Role Primary School Long-Term Position Ongoing SEN support and training Remedy Education are currently working with a Primary School in Canning Town who are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. The school requires a confident and caring Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning, remain engaged in the classroom and make progress both academically and socially. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow the pupil's individual support plan and provide consistent support throughout the school day. Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable, particularly experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis. Experience with autism, SEMH, challenging behaviour or de-escalation would also be beneficial. The successful Teaching Assistant will be: Patient, calm and confident when supporting children with additional needs Comfortable providing individual 1:1 support Able to build a positive relationship with the pupil Confident working alongside teachers, SENCOs and other professionals Reliable and committed to a long-term position Able to communicate clearly with pupils, staff and parents Experienced within a school, nursery, SEN or childcare settingThis is a fantastic opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a stable position within a supportive Primary School where you can make a genuine difference to a child's education.
