The Opportunity

How about turning a love for online culture and communities into your day to day?

We're seeking a Social Media Manager with brilliant creative ideas, very finger-on-the-pulse cultural insights and deep social platform expertise. Someone who thinks in engaging brand content. This role sits within a UK-focussed team, owning the social output of an industry leading global tech brand. Working as one half of a tight creative duo, alongside a Content Creator who is as obsessed with culturally relevant content as you are, you’ll be tasked with creating and developing organic social content that actually performs across Instagram and TikTok, at volume and pace.

You will need to know what makes a hook land in 0.3 seconds. You will need to have an opinion on why something worked last week, and what that means for next week. And you will need to be the kind of person who doesn’t require a strict brief to execute, instead thriving independently when given creative autonomy. A passion for all things culture – from the biggest conversations (think: music, podcasts, TV and film) to the most niche and IYKYK communities gathering online – is also critical.

Requirements

What You’ll Have Delivered Elsewhere

• Ideated original social content, for Instagram and TikTok, which is grounded in UK culture, audience behaviour, and platform trends
• Developed creative work from the very initial insight through to production-ready concepts; utilising skills like storyboarding, script writing and visual exploration
• Been able to communicate the principles of engaging, social-first content with wider creative teams
• Identified reactive content opportunities and being able to turn them around quickly without compromising quality
• Presented work to both internal and client teams, and being confident in explaining the what, why and how
• Managed brand channels on social; from knowing the best posting principles and using data to optimise performance, to the best ways to engage audiences through community management
• Owned the scheduling and publishing calendar across multiple channels
• Handled all aspects of community management; from engagement on owned channels to fame opportunities on non-owned channels

What Else Are We Looking For?

• Working collaboratively within creative teams, blending insight-led content thinking with genuine creative craft
• Using research and insight, as well as techniques like social listening and sentiment tracking, to inform future strategic decisions
• Understanding channel data and being confident in turning it into actionable creative strategy
• Managing your own workload within a structured production cycle
• Receiving feedback from internal and client teams, and being able to adapt quickly
• Ensuring all published content adheres strictly to brand guidelines, platform best practices, tone-of-voice parameters, and copyright/licensing standards
