Garment Technologist - Knitwear
We are seeking an experienced Garment Technician to support the development of high-quality ready-to-wear collections across menswear and womenswear. Working closely with design, production, and pattern cutting teams, you will play a key role in ensuring exceptional fit, construction, and consistency across multiple product categories, including woven, jersey, and knitwear. Key Responsibilities: Manage the technical development of garments from sample stage through to pre-production, ensuring accuracy in specs, grading, and fit. Lead and contribute to fit sessions, providing clear feedback and overseeing amendments to achieve the desired silhouette and quality standards. Collaborate with pattern cutters and production teams to refine patterns, construction, and finishing details. Create and maintain detailed technical packs, ensuring all measurements and specifications are up to date. Review samples for quality, fit, and cost, recommending improvements where necessary. Support clear communication with manufacturers, ensuring technical requirements are understood and executed correctly. Maintain organised records, including pattern libraries and supplier guidelines. About You: 5+ years’ experience in a Garment Technician role within luxury or high street fashion. Strong technical knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and fit across multiple categories. Confident leading fit sessions and working within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Excel. Detail-oriented, organised, and collaborative, with excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset. This role is likely to be filled ASAP, so apply today to avoid missing out!
