Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
As a Marketing Apprentice, you’ll work closely with the wider Bauer Academy team. You’ll help create marketing materials, support events and meetings, keep CRM information organised and assist with follow-up activity for clients and partners.
This is a broad marketing support role rather than a purely sales role. You’ll support commercial partnership activity, but the focus will be on developing practical marketing, coordination and communication skills across multiple channels.
Events and in-house facilitation:
This role will support the planning and delivery of Bauer Academy events, meetings, conferences and client-facing sessions.
You’ll help with event logistics, room bookings, attendance lists, guest information, materials and on-the-day support. This could include helping with activity in other regional Bauer Media offices, supporting visitors using Bauer spaces, and making sure meetings and events run smoothly.
This part of the role would suit someone who enjoys being organised, welcoming people and helping bring plans to life.
Marketing collateral and content creation:
You’ll help create and update marketing materials that support Bauer Academy programmes, apprenticeships and commercial partnerships.
This could include presentations, one-pagers, flyers, client-facing documents, email copy, internal updates and other materials that help explain what the Bauer Academy offers.
You’ll learn how to turn programme information into clear, engaging content and how to keep materials accurate, consistent and on-brand.
CRM and data support:
You’ll support the team with CRM activity and contact management, helping keep records clean, organised and useful.
This may include updating client and partner details, logging follow-up actions, supporting campaign or event follow-up, and helping the team build stronger in-house processes using systems such as HubSpot.
This part of the role would suit someone who is comfortable learning digital tools and understands the importance of accurate information.
Commercial partnerships support:
You’ll support the Head of Business Development with preparation for client and partner conversations, including the coordination of inbound enquiries, and ensuring prospective clients are responded to in a professional and timely manner.
This could include gathering information ahead of meetings, preparing materials, helping with follow-up notes, and supporting engagement with prospective clients and partners.
You’ll also help the team identify where Bauer Academy programmes could connect with client learning, development and talent priorities.
You’ll help support the promotion of Bauer Academy’s apprenticeship programmes to clients, partners and internal stakeholders.
You’ll learn how apprenticeship programmes are positioned, promoted and supported in a commercial environment.
Team administration and coordination:
You’ll provide day-to-day coordination support to help the Bauer Academy team work efficiently.
This could include organising documents and templates, tracking actions, supporting meeting preparation, helping with follow-ups and taking ownership of smaller projects as your confidence grows.
The role will help free up senior colleagues by bringing more coordination, marketing and CRM activity in-house.
