CDM Principal Designer – London - £55,000 - £70,000 + Bonus + Benefits + Hybrid Working

An established and highly regarded Construction Consultancy are looking to appoint a CDM Principal Designer to join their growing team in London.

This is a business with a strong reputation across the built environment, delivering CDM and Health & Safety services on a wide range of high-profile projects. They are known for investing in their people, offering clear progression routes and ongoing professional development.

Projects span across multiple sectors including Commercial, Residential, Education, Healthcare and Mixed-Use developments, ranging from large-scale new builds to complex refurbishments and fit-outs.

Responsibilities of the CDM Principal Designer include:

Acting as Principal Designer under CDM 2015 regulations

Advising clients on their duties and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation

Producing and reviewing pre-construction information

Leading design risk management and coordinating with design teams

Attending design and project meetings

Reviewing construction phase plans and health & safety documentation

Supporting the delivery of CDM advisory services across multiple projects

The CDM Principal Designer should ideally hold:

NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent

Membership of APS and IOSH preferred

Proven experience delivering CDM / Principal Designer services

Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and wider H&S legislation

Experience working within a consultancy environment

Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with clients and design teams
