Position: 3D Retail Concept Designer (Senior & Junior)

Location: London / Home Based – Travel as required

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum

Position Objectives • To provide creative design concepts for permanent display and merchandising products for a group of market leading brands in DIY, construction, consumable and FMCG sectors under the direction of the Development Director.• To understand and interpret our clients requirements and translate these into practical, considered and economical solutions through high-level visualizations.• To implement our established design processes and bring additional skills, ideas and enthusiasm to our team.• To be a credible technical representative of the company in meetings with colleagues and customers. Responsibilities of the Role • The strategy for growth across the Group involves demystifying, simplifying, systemizing and consolidating diverse display requirements world-wide to reduce costs, improve brand presentation and speed distribution growth. Our Development Designers & Engineers assist the Development Director to successfully interpret and implement this strategy within the business unit through the design and engineering of a large number of existing and new POP products and through the development of world-class displays from initial brief through to production.• Driving creativity and generating design ideas that excite and challenge our customer base. Design innovation will have a direct impact on the success of the business unit and the company.• Our Development Designer will also have responsibility to support the commercial team in their service to clients via the creation of POP solutions in the form of sketches, renders, and animations. Skills, Aptitudes & Experience Required • The talent and expertise to generate well-designed, well-reasoned and commercial solutions and recommendations in response to a pipeline of POP challenges.• Ability to generate photo-realistic rendered visuals of solutions that communicate the features and benefits of the design.• Proficiency in being able to produce presentable hand-drawn sketches is an advantage.• An obsession for deadlines with organisational skills and a hands-on attitude to quality. The ability to both multi-task and focus.• Demonstrable, accurate and impressive skills in 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks, inventing and producing visuals for customer presentations in order to take personal charge of projects.• Great interpersonal skills, excellence in verbal and written communication and an understanding of business relationships. Education to degree level and languages preferred.• An interest in brand marketing and a truly international outlook on the world. • Clean driving license, willingness to travel and confidence all welcomed.
