As Director of Consumer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how we connect with our individual customers. You'll lead the go-to-market strategy for our Consumer segment, driving growth, improving customer retention, and enhancing the experience across digital and traditional channels. This is a chance to make a real impact - not just on our business, but on the lives of thousands of people across the UK. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver targeted strategies for our Consumer segment to drive revenue and align with Bupa's wider commercial goals

  • Set the direction of the Consumer team to achieve revenue targets, optimise distribution channels, and expand beyond the current market

  • Lead the optimisation of consumer distribution channels - including digital, telephony, and e-documentation to enable optimal reach and efficiency

  • Lead the design and execution of customer retention strategies to achieve planned sales/revenue in line with the AOP

  • Lead the development and management of commercial channels, guaranteeing alignment with the overall business objectives

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and lead risk management practices across the Consumer function

  • Inspire and lead a high-performing, inclusive team, fostering innovation, collaboration and accountability

We're looking for a strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset and a passion for customer-centric innovation. You'll bring:

  • Proven experience in leading consumer-focused retail strategies within a complex organization

  • Strong understanding of sales, distribution and retention in a digital-first environment

  • Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of building inclusive, high-performing teams

  • Ability to manage budgets, interpret data and make sound commercial decisions

  • Skilled communicator with experience influencing at executive level

  • Comfortable navigating change and driving transformation across multiple channels
