The ESN will replace the existing Airwave network and building upon on EE’s existing 4G network and to provide essential new voice, data services, and critical communications services to 300,000 members of frontline emergency service users.


The ESN Implementation and PMO team within BT delivers PMO and programme governance, end to end product launch management, end to end coverage planning reporting and assurance and Business change management.  You will support a wide range of activities including project planning, reporting, risk/issue identification, tracking, budget management and documentation, ensuring successful outcomes across BT Group project portfolio.


The successful candidate will be cleared to BPSS (or equivalent) as a minimum.  You may even be required to undergo National Security Vetting (e.g. CTC, SC or NPPV).

What you’ll be doing

•    Support project/programme scoping in partnership with PMO leaders and key stakeholders, across the group and the project portfolio, whilst ensuring a base level of technical specialism proficiency
•    Support the delivery of project objectives, KPIs, project plan, financial tracking, delivery activities and ongoing reporting
•    Contribute to the implementation and improvement of project / programme standards and processes, e.g. related to project planning, financial management, product generation process, reporting, change control, risk management and quality
•    Analyse, evaluate, and overcomes programme risks, and produce programme reports for management and stakeholders
•    Provide guidance on ways to improve working processes within the area of Project/Programme Management & PMO

What we would like to see on your CV

•    Experience of analysing data, driving insights and trends to support a programme
•    Exposure to supporting senior governance meetings and providing agendas, minutes and actions
•    Proven background of working within a fast-paced PMO with good Project/Programme Management skills
•    Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to face off to senior stakeholders
•    Ability to identify and support implementation of improvement needs
•    Exposure to working on complex HMG/3ES programmes and Programme internal communications would be beneficial

This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
