Learning Support Assistant
Are you passionate about helping children reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly mainstream primary school, providing support to pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, building confidence, and making a positive impact on their educational journey. The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils both in and out of the classroom. You will help children engage with lessons, develop their skills, and build the confidence needed to succeed academically and socially. Responsibilities may include: Supporting learning within the classroomWorking with individual pupils and small groupsAssisting children who require additional supportEncouraging participation and engagement in lessonsPromoting positive behaviour and independenceSupporting literacy and numeracy activitiesHelping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Has experience working with children or young peopleIs patient, caring and enthusiasticHas strong communication and interpersonal skillsEnjoys working as part of a teamCan build positive relationships with pupils and staffIs committed to supporting children's learning and development Experience within education is desirable, but candidates from childcare, youth work, sports coaching, tutoring or similar backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
