Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the Southern Renewals Enterprise (SRE), a collaborative partnership delivering essential rail infrastructure renewals and enhancements across the Southern region. Working within the Earthworks team, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful commercial management of projects that improve the safety, reliability and resilience of the railway network.

About you
We are looking for a proactive, commercially astute professional who thrives in a collaborative project environment and enjoys delivering successful infrastructure schemes.
You will ideally have:
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or major construction projects.
- A strong understanding of NEC contracts, with NEC3 and/or NEC4 experience preferred.
- Proven experience in subcontract management, cost control and commercial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Experience working within rail, earthworks or geotechnical projects (desirable).
- Knowledge of Network Rail standards, procedures and commercial processes (desirable).
- A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
- Progress towards, or achievement of, professional chartership through RICS, ICES or a similar institution.
