Department Overview

The Marketing department is responsible for creating best-in-class marketing campaigns that maintain and grow our customer base. Increasing brand awareness to acquire new customers and engaging our existing customer base to increase LTV, our award-winning marketing department consists of four teams: brand marketing, brand partnership marketing, content and paid media.

Role Overview

The Senior Social Media Manager reports into the Senior Content Manager, working closely with the rest of the Content Marketing team, Marketing team and wider teams across the business.

The Senior Social Media Manager role is responsible for owning the overall global organic social media strategy, leading the Social Media team, and shaping Space NK’s social presence.

Key Responsibilities:

· Effectively demonstrate the value of social media marketing activity to the business.

· Deliver, own and evolve the global organic social media strategy including dedicated strategies for key platforms informed by audience insights, industry trends and business objectives.

· Own and propose organic social media budgets to align with channel objectives.

· Forecast and report against relevant channel specific targets, plus customer, traffic and sales targets.

· Provide insight to the wider business on the performance of organic social media marketing channels, and their role within the wider marketing mix. Plus, sharing relevant social insights in a relevant format to help drive wider business performance.

· Foster strong working relationships between the social media team and other teams in marketing and the wider business, developing opportunities to both improve social media performance and support wider business initiatives.

· Establish agile processes and define ways of working that balance creativity and reactivity with essential stakeholder oversight.

· Lead, manage and develop the social media team (directly line manage two team members, four additional team members).

· Foster a culture of creative bravery, empowering the team to produce best-in-class content, embrace innovative thinking, and adopt a test-and-learn mindset.

· Be at the forefront of social media marketing innovation and trends, thinking 6-12 months ahead to ensure Space NK are the first to test and try new functionality, platforms and tools within the social media marketing space that deliver against business objectives.

You are a creative yet strategic person with a real passion for social media marketing. You are excited by the opportunity to shape, define and amplify Space NK’s global social media presence.

What we're looking for:

· Deep understanding and passion for social media with proven experience in managing and growing social channels

· Proven experience developing brand-led, platform-specific strategies tailored to channel audiences

· Proven experience creating and scaling high performing social media teams

· Highly creative with a strong eye for visual storytelling

· Excellent copywriting skills

· Strong analytical & numerical skills with experience using analytics platforms.

· Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate, collaborate and influence effectively at all levels of the business

· Ability to stay ahead of digital trends and platform updates

· The ability to prioritise, use initiative and perform under pressure

· Strong leadership skills

· High attention to detail

· Excellent time management.
