Internal Audit Lead
We're looking for an Internal Audit Lead for a public sector organisation based in London (hybrid) on an initial 12 months contract, paying up to £550 per day (Inside IR35).
This is a hybrid role with some attendance expected at the London office. The successful Internal Audit Lead will plan and deliver individual audit and advisory assignments to scope, quality, time and budget, and contribute to the wider audit strategy. You'll provide ongoing assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management, control and governance, representing internal audit on programme and project boards. You'll produce draft and final reports to deadline, brief executive members and senior managers, and keep sponsors informed of major issues throughout fieldwork. You will need proven experience in the following: Internal audit planning and deliveryRisk management and control assessment
Report writing to executive and senior stakeholder level
Stakeholder briefing and presentation skills
Programme and project governance assurance The following would be beneficial: Liaising with external auditors to coordinate audit effort
