The Role
As a Staff Product Designer (Mobile) , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Personio’s mobile experience. You’ll take ownership of our mobile platform (iOS and Android), partner with product and engineering leaders across domains, and define how Personio shows up on mobile. You’ll balance setting a long-term vision for mobile with making tangible progress towards it, ensuring that we deliver valuable, coherent, and delightful experiences for our customers that drive adoption and business impact where mobile makes the biggest impact.
With exceptional design skills, experience in high-fidelity and AI prototyping, and a track record of improving tools and frameworks, you’ll influence both the craft of design and the strategic direction of our mobile product.
Responsibilities:
Owning Personio’s mobile touchpoints, providing product direction through goal-setting and planning
Leading within the design team and among cross-functional peers
Tackling systems-level problems with numerous interconnected constraints
Launching well-executed mobile experiences that balance immediate value with long-term scalability
Ensuring consistency and quality across mobile touchpoints by connecting related projects and aligning stakeholders quickly
Solving Product Design problems that few others can
Delivering tangible, measurable impact through clear success metrics and validated outcomes across mobile touchpoints
How you'll go about it:
Influencing and strengthening team culture while identifying areas for development
Representing your work and ideas with clarity and confidence to executives and peers
Effectively communicating the team's product goals, framing discussions to elicit the right feedback and drive alignment
Being actively involved in interviewing and building out the larger design team
Actively mentor and support other designers, raising the quality of design across the team, especially also around mobile-first thinking
Being empathetic to team members' feelings and putting in effort for the team's benefit.
Helping to foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture while fostering a healthy design process
Qualifications:
Exceptional in one dimension of design, e.g., Product thinking, Interaction Design, Execution, Craft, Programs - ideally deep expertise in mobile product design
Skilled in using high-fidelity and AI prototyping tools
Experience developing and improving tools, frameworks, or existing systems
Designed new patterns or introduced standards adopted by others in previous roles
Track record of proactively identifying and driving initiatives that strengthen the team
Strong ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution

At Personio, we value in-person collaboration while also offering flexibility. This role is office-based, with 3 days per week required in your contracted office location. The remaining days can be worked from home or in the office if you prefer. In addition, you’ll have 20 Flex Days per year to work remotely from other locations.
