To assess and support foster carers in our community, and where necessary challenging others to have high expectations for Southwark’s children and improve their outcomes.
We work within a systemic framework, offering group supervision and clinical support to work
closely with members of your practice group to supervise and support a group of foster carers. You will help them to develop confidence, skills and expertise in caring for children who have suffered abuse, trauma and loss, assessing where extra support and training is required.
You will work with colleagues in the care and safeguarding teams to maintain these placements as well as matching suitable short and long term placements for children, and to help prepare them for permanence.
