An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Development Manager to lead on high-profile regeneration and mixed-use development projects for a local authority. This role will play a pivotal part in delivering housing, employment, and social value outcomes through strategic land use and partnership-led development.

Role Overview – Senior Development Manager:

• Lead complex real estate development and regeneration programmes from feasibility through to delivery.
• Manage a team of Development Managers and external consultants to deliver high-quality, viable schemes.
• Oversee procurement, land assembly, viability appraisals, and stakeholder engagement.
• Drive financial and social value outcomes aligned with strategic borough objectives.
• Represent the council in public forums, site visits, and partnership meetings.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience leading large-scale property development or regeneration projects in a public sector or partnership context.
• Strong understanding of land assembly, viability modelling, procurement frameworks (e.g. OJEU), and statutory planning.
• Skilled in managing multidisciplinary teams and external advisors.
• Confident in engaging with senior stakeholders, elected members, and community groups.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Real Estate, Planning, or related field (MRICS desirable).
• 5–10 years’ experience in development management or real estate advisory roles.
