Deputy Clinical Services Manager - Westminster

Turning Point
London

Job Description

\n

Job Introduction\n

At Turning Point, we support people with substance misuse issues across the country. As a Deputy Clinical Services Manager in our Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster (Bi-Borough) service, you'll make a real difference to the lives of those experiencing difficulties from drug and alcohol use.

\n

Passionate about people, you’ll enjoy the opportunity and support to enhance your own life and career too, as you gain the experience and training you need to progress in your career within a social enterprise. So, if you’re ambitious and ready for a fresh challenge with a sector leader then this could be the opportunity for you.

\n \n

Role Responsibility\n

As a Deputy Clinical Services Manager, your vital role will involve a wide range of clinical duties, deputising for the Clinical Services Manager and providing day to day leadership within the clinical team, including line management, staff leadership and mentorship.

\n

You will take the lead on harm reduction across the service, supervise and support staff through clinical supervision, appraisals and training, and complete audits to ensure clinical pathways and protocols are high quality, adhered to and continually improved. You will also oversee safe medicines management, including medicines optimisation, clinical checks and controlled drug processes in line with service PGDs/PSDs, maintain high standards of clinical record keeping, support delivery of clinical KPIs and safeguarding, and escalate clinical risks appropriately.

\n

This is a predominantly service-based role, so you will spend most of your time working from our Bi-Borough sites delivering and overseeing face-to-face clinical care, with a portion of your role providing clinical interventions reflecting your clinical skills and expertise.

\n

Working closely with the Clinical Services Manager and the wider senior leadership team, you will have a real opportunity to help shape service delivery and contribute to delivering clinically excellent, CQC-compliant services.

\n \n

The Ideal Candidate\n

We are particularly keen to hear from registered pharmacists and registered nurses (RGN or RMN). An inspiring role model, we’ll expect you to demonstrate clinical leadership and undertake clinical supervision. Building relationships with colleagues, commissioners and service users alike will be a big part of what you do, so we’re looking for someone who can confidently engage and influence people.

\n

A working knowledge of substance misuse issues and legislation is desirable – as is the ability to recognise indicators of substance misuse and the issues that service users might face. A leadership or management qualification, or a willingness to work towards one, is desirable, and if you are not a qualified NMP we will support you in gaining this qualification.

\n

In addition to the above we are seeking to appoint an individual who can also bring Turning Point’s core values to the role:

\n
    \n
  • We believe that everyone has the potential to grow, learn and make choices
  • \n
  • We all communicate in an authentic and confident way that blends support and challenge
  • \n
  • We are here to embrace change even when it is complex and uncomfortable
  • \n
  • We treat each other and those we support as individuals however difficult and challenging
  • \n
  • We deliver better outcomes by encouraging ideas and new thinking
  • \n
  • We commit to building a strong and financially viable Turning Point together
  • \n
\n \n

About us\n

\n

What Benefits Will I Receive?
