Project Manager, Fintech
Project Manager Fintech
Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Project Manager to join our high profile Fintech client in central London.
My client are an exciting Fintech start up (big enough to be an SME though) and are growing at a rapid pace looking to double their work force to 300 people this year alone. They have a revolutionary product that enables major financial institutions to trade across the fixed income market. They act as if they were a startup.
I am looking for a Senior Project Manager with strong external customer facing skills and an interest in actually delivering even if this involves getting your hands dirty. This does not suit a huge enterprise level PM. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders and take primary accountability for project delivery success. You will take direct responsibility for project planning, controlling progress, identifying and resolving risks and issues, managing budget/scope/schedule, and ensuring compliance with all related governance and reporting processes. You will work on a number of concurrent internal and client facing financial technology projects.
This is truly a game changing product that all sell-side businesses can capitalise on.
Day to Day the Project Manager will:
- Sales Support
- Consistently delivering projects to agreed success criteria, managing change effectively
- Strategic client projects (integration of new products and services) and the of high profile internal projects
- Acting as the focal point for the Agile delivery team within the London office (supporting client across Europe)
- Providing leadership across multiple projects
- Identify, define, and manage all aspects of projects and projects scope including, but not limited to, the overall program project plan, execution, resource management, issue tracking, quality, change management, risk management, communications and budget
- Oversee teams working on client engagements, manage internal resources
- Possess an understanding of company offerings, technical preferences, and technical direction
As a Project Manager you must have:
- Solid experience as a Project Manager, with end-to-end responsibility for delivery
- Experience managing a variety of technology projects in the Finance sector
- Background in small projects usually around £1 million
- Experience in a small vendor
- Proven track record of managing complex and senior stakeholder interactions
- Experience managing a variety of project management methods, e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Iterative, hybrid.
- Prince 2 but don’t quote the book
- Thorough understanding of the project management process throughout the lifecycle, and the ability to identify issues and take corrective action
- Experience working with formal project methodologies (e.g. APM PRINCE 2, PMI/BOK) and associated
- Degree, preferably in a Technical / or Business related area
I am looking for full blown project managers who have experience in a small Vendor and who want to take on real responsibility.
The environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with an open dress code. This is a role for techies, those who are motivated by the sharp end of technology and the possibility of making serious money doing something you are passionate about.
My client are based in London
