We are looking for a Sous Chef to to join our amazing Events Culinary team, at a leading global investment bank in Central London. We are looking for an individual who has a real passion for the Hospitality and Food industry, is keen to be collaborative and takes pride in their work every day. Our Hospitality & Event Kitchens look after our fine dining offering at a busy and fast-paced investment bank. We oversee fine dining in 29 private dining rooms , and an events space that caters up to 1700 pax . We have full autonomy across our seasonal brochures from breakfast to a la carte lunch to canapes, so this a real opportunity to bring your own flare and touch to our dishes and make the offering your own.

Job Description- To take full responsibility and ownership of the Conference Centre kitchen with all food production preparation, cooking and presentation, ensuring the reputation of food quality is always maintained.
- To be involved with the writing of our Brochure, bringing innovation and by trending foods and ingredients. Actively take part in menu engineering alongside the senior Chefs in Hospitality.
- To cross skill in our Fine Dining kitchen and assist with covering in the absence of any of the senior Chefs in Hospitality.
- Be responsible for all Health and Safety due diligence to ensure that paperwork is completed, accurate and filed as necessary.
- To communicate with our Purchasing team to ensure orders are placed in a timely fashion.
- To ensure food production, standards, costs and menu planning are carried out in a timely fashion, as agreed with the Head Chefs.
- Being client focused at all times by being visible during service periods, approachable and quick to exceed expectations in fulfilling client needs.
- To be influential with innovative ideas to expand our operation, our offering and our space.
- To carry out the smooth and efficient running of the section as appropriate, planning, preparing and presenting food to the expected standards of WSH and our clients.
- To be able to keep calm under pressure and communicate effectively with team to deliver a service.
- Proven experience working as a Sous Chef or similar role
- Experience with large events/conferencing of 500+ pax
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, be able to lead the brigade of chefs dedicated to the Conference Centre and be influential with mentoring and inspiring the kitchen team,
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- NVQ qualification or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of allergy management
- Food Safety and Hygiene certification
- Ability to be flexible to the demands of our service, and be used to dealing with last minute requests
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
