Product Development Assistant
Working very closely with our Buying, Production and Garment Tech teams, the Product Development Assistant will assist the Design team with the creation of Tech Packs and technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Design team with creating tech packs by preparing and reviewing detailed tech packs, BOMs and specifications for each product.
- Do technical drawings for new styles
- Make sure lab dips, strike offs and any relevant markers are pulled and with correct garments for product meetings
- Tidy up after product meetings; ensuring product is put away in the correct area, lab dips and strike offs are filed away
- Ensure the range line up is up to date with high quality of presentation, share the updated line up with the team
- Add colour name, fabric description and factory to the line-up
- Responsible for creating and organising design folders: colours standards, lab dips, strike offs, month by month fabric folder.
- Assist with seasonal sample, fabric archiving and stock management
- Create POs for sampling fabrics/ Assisting with raising POs for sampling
- Update and maintain sampling tracker
- Attend weekly photoshoot meetings
Profile:
- A clear understanding of the design aesthetic of The Fold
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Team player who collaborates with ease
- Strong organiser who prioritises with ease and understands the importance of excellent time management
- Demonstrates a ‘can-do’ attitude to work
- The ability to analyse problems and offer solutions
- Attention to detail is key as this is a fast-paced role, so a sharp eye is essential
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Skilled in Photoshop
- Experience using Illustrator
