The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Patent Secretary to join a high-performing team providing essential support to a group of Patent Attorneys. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of patent processes, from drafting and filing to client correspondence and deadlines. The role offers exposure to a broad variety of work, providing a real insight into the world of high-level intellectual property practice while working alongside some of the most respected attorneys in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing patent filings, correspondence and deadlines efficiently and accurately
- Preparing and formatting documents for patent applications and legal proceedings
- Maintaining patent records, databases and case files
- Liaising with clients, patent offices and internal teams
- Supporting attorneys with diary management, meetings and client communications
- Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and deadlines
About You:
- Previous experience as a Patent Secretary, ideally within a leading IP firm
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and patent management software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines
- Professional, proactive and a team player
