Motor Vehicle Lecturer
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Light Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join their training division. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and practical training to industry apprentices only, ensuring they gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies for career development.
The Organisation
They are one of London’s leading independent motor vehicle training providers, with over 50 years’ experience in preparing apprentices and technicians for successful careers in the automotive industry. Each year they support learners and employers through high-quality apprenticeship programmes, pre-apprenticeship training, and professional upskilling courses in areas such as diagnostics, servicing, refrigerant handling, and electric/hybrid vehicle technology. Their strong links with garages across London ensure our training is practical, industry-focused, and always up to date with the latest technological developments.
Role Responsibilities
* Deliver lectures and practical demonstrations in Light Motor Vehicle technology.
* Train and mentor apprentices in line with industry standards.
* Develop and update training materials, lesson plans, and assessments.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations in workshops and training environments.
* Evaluate apprentices’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
Essential Requirements
* Recognised qualification in Light Motor Vehicle Technology or related field.
* Proven teaching/training experience (industry apprenticeship teaching experience preferred).
* Strong knowledge of modern vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to student learning and skill development.
