Part Time Nanny

LOCATION: Holyport, Berkshire
ROLE: After school Nanny with extra hours in school holidays
Live-out
Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 3pm - 6pm
Salary based on experience £17 - £20 gross per hour
Children's ages: 6 and 8

Overview:
A warm and welcoming family based in Holyport are seeking a caring, reliable, and proactive nanny to support their two children, aged 6 and 8. Both children have additional needs, including autism and some challenges with emotional regulation, so a calm, patient, and understanding approach is essential. Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) would be highly beneficial, though not essential for the right candidate as the children are happy and thriving in mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities:
Collect both children from school (within walking distance of the family home)
Support the children in transitioning from school to home, allowing time to decompress and recharge
Prepare and provide healthy snacks and evening meals
Assist with homework, reading, and age-appropriate educational activities
Accompany children to after-school clubs where applicable
Encourage positive routines and support emotional regulation in a gentle, structured manner
Prepare lunch boxes for the following school day
Maintain a tidy environment related to the children (e.g., clearing up after meals and activities)

School Holiday Responsibilities:
Provide extended childcare during school holidays (additional hours available)
Plan and engage the children in fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate activities
Support a balanced routine of play, rest, and educational engagement
Organise outings where appropriate (e.g., local parks, activities)

About the Children:
The family has two bright and engaging children aged 6 and 8. Both children may occasionally need additional emotional support, particularly around transitions and regulation. With the right approach, they are very capable and thrive with consistency, patience, and encouragement.

The family also has two friendly cats
