Mobile Automotive Technician
Join Our Team as a Mobile Vehicle Technician
Welcome to a New Era of Mobile Repair!
About the Role
As a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division, you will be part of a fast-growing team dedicated to delivering structured repair and servicing directly to our members. This role is distinct from traditional roadside assistance, focusing instead on scheduled jobs that allow you to work efficiently and effectively.
What You Can Expect
Your day will start with a clear digital schedule, with each job pre-booked and the member expecting you. Your responsibilities will include:
- Routine servicing
- Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
- In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
- Providing member advice and recommendations based on inspections
- Conducting vehicle safety checks aligned with our standards
With no emergency callouts or unpredictable shifts, you will have the time and resources to deliver quality work. You will receive a fully equipped van, fuel card, uniform, and a complete tool set from day one.
Why Choose SMR?
- Planned appointments instead of emergency responses
- Consistent workflow without unpredictable demands
- In-depth repairs rather than temporary fixes
- Time to complete jobs properly with built-in support
- Clear schedules using our mobile service platform
What You’ll Need
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
Working Conditions

- Competitive base salary of £45,370, with on-target earnings of up to £57,000
- Guaranteed overtime options available
Benefits
- Earnings That Motivate: Market-competitive salary with bonus opportunities.
- Opt-in Guaranteed Overtime: Choose to work extra days for additional earnings.

- Financial Security & Perks: Pension scheme with matched contributions and life assurance cover.
- Wellbeing That Works for You: 24/7 confidential support service available for you and your household.
- Extras That Make a Difference: Access to exclusive discounts and a colleague share scheme.
