We are committed to co-production, inclusion and equality , and we actively welcome applications from people with lived experience of disability or neurodiversity.
About London Makers:
London Makers is an exciting new creative programme where people with learning disabilities and neurodivergent people work as designers and makers , not just participants.

We are looking for a London Makers Coordinator to lead the day-to-day delivery of this programme.
This is a hands-on, people-centred role . You will coordinate sessions, support participants to make decisions, work with creative partners, and ensure the project is delivered safely, accessibly and to a high standard.

- Work closely with support staff to ensure wellbeing and safeguarding.
- Keep clear records of attendance, decisions, outcomes and learning.
- Support reporting requirements for funders and internal review.
- Help create a positive, calm and empowering environment for everyone involved.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Experience coordinating projects or programmes (in community, creative, education or support settings).
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Confidence working with people with learning disabilities and/or neurodivergent people.
- A values-led approach to inclusion, accessibility and co-production.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with a wide range of people.
- Understanding of safeguarding and boundaries in support settings (or willingness to learn).
Desirable:
- Experience in creative, cultural or community projects.
- Experience facilitating groups or workshops.
- Knowledge of inclusive or participatory practice.
- Experience working with partners or external organisations.
What We Offer:
- A supportive and inclusive working environment.
- Flexible working where possible.
- Generous annual leave entitlement (pro rata).
- Employer pension contribution.
- Access to training and development.
- The opportunity to help shape an innovative and meaningful programme.
Our Commitment to Inclusion:
HF Mencap is committed to being an inclusive employer. We welcome applications from people with learning disabilities, neurodivergent people, and people from underrepresented backgrounds. We are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process.
How to Apply:
Please send:
- A CV, and
- A short supporting statement (or alternative format) explaining why you are interested in the role and how your experience meets the key requirements.
If you would like to apply in a different format (for example, video or audio), please let us know.
We are actively interviewing for this post and may interview suitable candidates before the closing date. We therefore reserve the right to close the advert early if we appoint to the role.
