Music Teacher – Drive Practical Performance and Creative Composition in a Dynamic Arts Faculty – Hackney
A creative , community-oriented secondary school in Hackney is recruiting a Music Teacher with a focus on practical performance and instrumental teaching for an immediate start in January 2026.

You will teach Music across KS3 and GCSE/BTEC Music , with a strong emphasis on practical skill development, instrumental proficiency, and creative composition . The key element of this role is directing and rehearsing school ensembles (e.g., orchestra, band, choir) and contributing to the creative extra-curricular programme.
Experience and Qualifications
- QTS and a degree in Music or a relevant performance/composition field.
- Proven experience teaching and securing strong results in GCSE/BTEC Music .
- Demonstrable experience in directing and conducting ensembles or choirs.
- Commitment to promoting a creative and nurturing learning environment.
