Associate Director, Asian Sales Trader

Role Purpose:
We are looking to hire to an Asia Sales Trader in London to contribute towards the continued growth of our Asia franchise and drive our high touch sales trading revenues in cash equities.
As an experienced sales trader, you will contribute in building a best in class cash equities business with a particular focus on growing the firm’s Asia equity market share with UK based clients and supporting both our banking and Securities Financing growth ambitions.
You will be based in London and functionally report to the Head of EMEA salestrading.
In this role you will:
- Based in London, the role will have a particular focus on defending our Asia equity footprint
- Work closely with other stakeholders including High Touch Trading, Low Touch Trading, Program Trading, Advisory, Research and Securities Financing.
- Create incremental HT cash revenues to help drive market share gains.
- Service our UK client base to provide market colour and best execution with a focus on Asia.
- Identify key clients and work to maximize our wallet opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, industry, clients within the framework of existing regulation.
- Develop close and effective working relationships within respective Regions/Countries/Functions/Global Businesses.
- Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets .
- Act on unusual/ unacceptable activity or behaviors and escalate appropriately.
- Where applicable, lead, develop and motivate the team to attract, retain and develop capacity, capability and talents with the required key relevant skills.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Extensive experience in an Equity Sales Trading role.
- Experience in communicating and executing clients Asian cash equity orders providing insight, analysis and colour to customers.
- Working knowledge of Prime services, Program trading, 1Delta, Low touch exaction, Syndicate and ECM.
- Additional understanding and exposure to program trading and global equities.
- Possessess sound experience in managing various stakeholder relationships across the business.
