Position Overview:
Scissero is seeking a senior, execution-focused Global Head of Talent Acquisition to build and scale our international legal workforce. This role is critical to enabling the company’s next phase of growth by ensuring reliable, cost-efficient access to high-quality legal talent across offshore and nearshore delivery locations.
This is a hands-on leadership role, operating initially as an individual contributor responsible for executing global hiring while designing scalable recruitment frameworks and workforce strategies. The role focuses on building hiring capability that supports managed legal services, legal technology delivery, and operational scaling across multiple jurisdictions.
The successful candidate will combine deep experience in legal recruitment with strong commercial awareness, workforce cost optimisation capability, and proven experience hiring into lower-cost global talent markets.

Key Responsibilities:
Global Legal Talent Acquisition
Lead end-to-end recruitment for legal, legal operations, and legal technology roles across global delivery locations.
Execute direct sourcing, headhunting, and pipeline development for priority roles in offshore and nearshore jurisdictions.
Build scalable talent pipelines to support growth in managed services, legal technology delivery, and client engagements.
Partner closely with hiring managers to translate delivery needs into hiring plans and role specifications.
Design structured, repeatable hiring processes that ensure consistency, quality, and speed across regions.
Manage the full offer lifecycle, including compensation negotiation, candidate engagement, and hiring risk mitigation.
Workforce Cost Optimisation & Location Strategy
Own workforce cost efficiency across global hiring by developing salary benchmarking frameworks and location-based hiring strategies.
Provide data-driven recommendations on optimal hiring geographies based on market availability, cost structures, and operational scalability.
Continuously evaluate talent market dynamics to inform hiring strategy and workforce planning.
Support leadership in modelling blended workforce approaches (onshore/nearshore/offshore).
Offshore & Nearshore Legal workforce scaling
Build hiring capability in lower-cost jurisdictions, including but not limited to Latin America, South Asia, Africa, and selected European nearshore locations.
Establish reliable pipelines for legal production roles, lawyers, legal technologists, and hybrid legal operations professionals.
Develop hiring approaches suitable for scaling legal delivery teams in managed service environments.
Mitigate hiring risks in emerging talent markets through proactive sourcing strategies and local market intelligence.
ATS Ownership & Process Excellence
Act as the internal owner of recruitment systems and hiring data quality to ensure global consistency.
Develop, maintain, and refine structured playbooks, interview frameworks, and evaluation methodologies.
Standardise interview structures, scoring methods, and evaluation practices.
Build and monitor system usage, reporting, and compliance across global teams.
Identify opportunities to improve recruitment efficiency, hiring predictability, and talent quality a the organisation scales.
Talent Market Intelligence
Provide leadership with ongoing insights on key KPIs, including time-to-hire, pipeline strength, quality-of-hire, hiring manager satisfaction, competitor hiring activity, and salary movements.
Use data to identify bottlenecks, drive improvements, and inform leadership decisions.
Produce dashboards, insights, and forecasts for talent planning and organisational strategy.
Employer Brand and Talent Engagement
Support employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives alongside leadership and marketing.
Represent Scissero in global talent markets and build strong relationships with passive talent.
Skills and Experience Required
10+ years’ experience in legal recruitment, legal talent acquisition, or workforce scaling within legal services, legal technology, alternative legal services, or similar environments.
Strong track record recruiting for legal delivery environments such as managed services, legal operations, contract lawyer teams, or legal technology-enabled services.
Demonstrated experience hiring legal professionals into lower-cost or offshore jurisdictions.
Proven ability to operate as a senior individual contributor in high-growth or scaling organisations.
Strong global sourcing and headhunting capability for niche legal and hybrid legal-technology roles.
Experience building recruitment frameworks, structured hiring methodologies, and scalable hiring systems.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to align hiring strategies with business growth objectives.
Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
An analytical mindset with the ability to use data for insights and decision-making.
Strong relationship-building skills across all levels of the organisation.
Preferred
Experience in alternative legal service providers (ALSPs), legal process outsourcing (LPO), or scaling legal technology companies.
Experience hiring across multiple regions, including Latin America, South Asia, or nearshore Europe.
Exposure to post-acquisition workforce stabilisation or integration activities.
Familiarity with HRIS platforms, dashboards, and talent analytics tools.
Experience supporting or implementing DEI strategies.
