HGV Class 1 Driver - 4 On 4 Off Days - Immediate Starts Available Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for a stable, full-time role with a great work-life balance? We are currently recruiting for reliable and professional Class 1 Drivers to join a well-established operation, working a popular 4 on 4 off dayshift pattern . Job Details Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver Shift Pattern: 4 On 4 Off Shift Type: Dayshift Pay Rate: £16.11 per hour PAYE + Holiday Pay Accrued Average Shift Length: 10-11 Hours Start Times: Between 03:00 and 09:00 depending on rota About the Role As an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will be responsible for completing trunking and collection routes throughout the North West region, returning with backloads to ensure efficient transport operations. This role requires flexibility with start times and a commitment to delivering excellent service whilst maintaining the highest safety standards. Key Responsibilities Complete Class 1 trunking routes across the North West Carry out collection runs and return with backloads Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely and efficiently Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects Follow all road transport legislation and company procedures Maintain accurate paperwork and digital records Deliver exceptional standards of professionalism and customer service Requirements Essential Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card Valid Digital Tachograph Card Minimum 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations Flexible approach to varying start times Experience Drivers with less than 6 months' Class 1 experience may still be considered for the right candidate, subject to assessment. Licence Criteria To be considered for this position, applicants must: Have no more than 6 penalty points on their licence Not have any DR, DG, CD, DD or BA endorsements Be eligible to work in the UK Assessment Process Successful candidates will be required to complete: Driving Assessment Drug and Alcohol Screening Both assessments must be passed before commencement of employment.
