Year 2 Teacher – role & responsibilities
The Year 2 Teacher will plan rich, well-sequenced lessons that develop confident readers and mathematicians. The Year 2 Teacher will lead daily phonics, guided reading and number sessions, use assessment to personalise learning and run targeted interventions. The Year 2 Teacher will work with parents, lead termly reporting and support transition work — all activities that the Year 2 Teacher will begin in earnest from January 2026 .
