Project Manager - DV Clearance (MUST HAVE) - Start ASAP - Long term - Hybrid

Next Ventures seeks an already DV Cleared Project Manager for its long term engagement with a key UK based Client in the Public Sector.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a technology delivery team responsible for executing a programme of projects throughout 2026 and 2027. The successful candidate will oversee a roadmap of initiatives focused on maintaining the organisation's existing application estate, ensuring ongoing compliance, and delivering new technology capabilities that add measurable business value.

The portfolio primarily consists of small to medium-sized projects with relatively low complexity. As such, the successful candidate will be expected to manage and deliver two to three projects simultaneously, while also being capable of leading larger or more complex initiatives as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives and delivery approach for end-to-end (E2E) technology projects.
• Establish and coordinate project teams, ensuring the appropriate resources and stakeholders are engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
• Chair regular project meetings with internal teams, suppliers and business stakeholders to monitor progress, resolve issues and maintain delivery momentum.
• Create, update and manage project action logs, task lists and status reports using JIRA or equivalent project management tools.
• Identify, monitor and manage project risks, issues and dependencies, implementing mitigation plans where required.
• Record and maintain lessons learned to support continuous improvement across future project deliveries.
• Assist with project planning activities, including work breakdown structures, scheduling and task allocation.
• Work alongside operational teams to design and implement support processes, ensuring a smooth transition from project delivery into Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations.
• Provide regular progress updates and reporting to project sponsors and key stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered to agreed timescales, quality standards and business objectives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience delivering multiple concurrent IT or business change projects.
• Strong end-to-end project management expertise.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience facilitating project governance meetings and managing third-party suppliers.
• Proficiency with JIRA or similar project and task management tools.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies) throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities in a dynamic delivery environment.
