Nursery – First Class
Salary – £26,416 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

We’re looking for an Early Years Assistant to join our First Class nursery.
Bright Horizons First Class Day Nursery and Preschool is located in the peaceful area of Airyhall, Craigiebuckler, Aberdeen, within the grounds of The James Hutton Institute. The nursery offers a warm, welcoming environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years, with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning through access to three separate gardens, including a secret garden, duck pond, and vegetable plot. Staff are passionate about early years education and support children through Bright Horizons’ unique Growing Enhancement programme, which nurtures confidence and curiosity in subjects like maths, art, and literacy.
For commuting, the nursery benefits from excellent transport links to Aberdeen city centre and has its own on-site car park, making it easily accessible for both local and commuting staff

The Role
As an Early Years Assistant, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5. You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds – supporting colleagues with each child’s development towards their key milestones.
What we’re looking for
Previous experience working with children – Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents
Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
