Registered Veterinary Nurse
About the Role:
We are recruiting for a compassionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a dedicated and friendly team in West London. This full-time role offers a fantastic work-life balance with no out-of-hours (OOH) work, and a manageable weekend rota.
Full-time – 40 hours per week
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
Shifts:
- Monday to Friday:
- 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
- 11:00 am – 7:30 pm
- 9:30 am – 6:00 pm
- Weekend shifts: 1 in 5 weekends.
- After a weekend shift, your following working days will be Monday to Wednesday, 9:30 am – 6:30 pm, with Thursday and Friday off.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent nursing care to animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Assist with surgeries and medical procedures, including preparing equipment and monitoring anaesthesia.
- Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations as directed by the veterinary team.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and support veterinary examinations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with pet owners.
About You:
- You are a qualified and registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a passion for animal care.
- You thrive in a supportive team environment and have strong communication skills.
- You are able to work flexibly across varying shifts, including weekends on a rota basis.
- You are committed to ongoing professional development and would benefit from the practice's CPD allowance.
Professional Development and Benefits:
- Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- £500 CPD allowance.
- Paid professional memberships (RCVS, BVA, VDS).
- Additional leave: Extra day off for your birthday and 5.6 weeks of holiday, increasing after 2 years of service.
