Here at Academics, we are proud to be working with this fantastic primary school in Hammersmith, which is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and committed Year 6 Class Teacher. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring pupils achieve strong academic outcomes while feeling confident, supported and fully prepared for the transition to secondary school.
This is a well-established and high-achieving two-form entry primary school with a clear vision for excellence. Senior leaders are visible, approachable and genuinely invested in staff wellbeing and development. The leadership team works collaboratively with teachers to ensure expectations are high, systems are clear and workloads remain manageable.
The school welcomes applications from passionate Upper KS2 teachers across the Main Pay Scale. There may also be opportunities for experienced teachers to take on additional responsibilities, subject leadership or curriculum development projects, depending on experience and career aspirations.

A secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum, SATs frameworks and assessment requirements is essential. You will use data effectively to inform planning, identify gaps and implement targeted interventions to maximise pupil progress.
Strong behaviour management skills are vital, alongside the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and families. The school is seeking a reflective, adaptable and organised practitioner who can maintain high expectations while fostering resilience, independence and confidence in pupils during this important academic year.
