Salary: up to 39,582 per annum + events overtime paid

40 hours per week + events overtime paid - Monday to Friday

As a Sous Chef you will collaborate with our culinary team to craft flavourful dishes that nourish both body and mind

As well as having an excellent presentation, organisational and communication skills, you will be able to demonstrate a real passion for food & service and possess bags of enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities

• As Sous Chef, you'll play a key role in delivering breakfasts and lunches for meeting rooms each day, alongside to canapes, finger foods and fine dining covers for lunch and evening dinner events.
• You'll be assisting the head chef for creating and executing high end plated dishes as well as stylish hot and cold buffets, canap s, bowls, and finger foods for a wide range of corporate and private events for the clients.
• Play a key role in large scale event delivery and VIP functions
• Day to day, you'll oversee kitchen operations from food prep and service to stock control and ensuring full compliance with food safety and health & safety standards.
• You'll work closely with the Head Chef, contributing to menu development and maintaining exceptional culinary standards. You'll also step up to lead the kitchen when the Head Chef is away.
• Flexibility is key, you'll also lend a hand in the retail restaurant as needed, supporting the wider kitchen team and ensuring consistently high standards across all areas.
• We're looking for someone who thrives under pressure, brings fresh ideas, and is eager to grow, someone who's hands on, solutions focused, and passionate about great food

• Previous experience working in a similar role within a contract catering company or educational institution preferred.
• Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institute.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings as required.
