Purpose of the job

Airport Dimensions is a global leader in airport experiences, operating a fast-paced, high‑growth business with a central corporate brand and a portfolio of consumer-facing experience brands. We operate in concentrated but highly competitive markets where customer experience, partner relevance and commercial performance are key to success.

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and strategic professional to step into this senior global position for a minimum of 12 months . Working closely with the VP of Global Marketing and wider team, you will build and deliver an impactful communications strategy that critically supports core business objectives and our wider brand vision.

You’ll lead the strategy for PR and competitive positioning, executive profiling and global events — driving reputation, differentiation and visibility across key B2B audiences — elevating our market‑leading position and strengthening and protecting the Airport Dimensions brand, ensuring clarity, consistency and coherence across all corporate and commercial communications.

This role does not currently have direct reports, but you will act as the communications lead, collaborating across multiple teams and engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership. You must be comfortable operating independently, influencing cross‑functional teams, and driving initiatives forward in a matrixed, fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic communications leadership

  • Develop and lead an integrated global communications strategy that directly supports Airport Dimensions’ business objectives, brand vision, and commercial priorities.

  • Act as the senior communications lead for the organisation, ensuring a consistent and compelling narrative across all touchpoints and audiences.

Public relations & market positioning

  • Own the global PR strategy, working closely with our retained PR agency to shape a proactive media programme

  • Design and execute an executive visibility programme for senior leaders, producing thought leadership content, keynote platforms, and media opportunities that reinforce our strategic ambitions and competitive position

  • Lead the management of any crisis/incident communications, aligning key stakeholders behind a well-crafted communications plan, including reactive and proactive statements, as the situation requires

  • Prepare speeches, briefings, presentations, opinion pieces, and commentary to support executive engagement across global markets

Content & communications strategy

  • Oversee the full content strategy for Airport Dimensions, creating compelling B2B messaging, narratives, and materials that support brand building, business development, and client engagement

  • Ensure all content, written, visual, and digital, reflects our brand identity

Digital & social media ownership

  • Lead strategy, planning, and execution for Airport Dimensions’ LinkedIn channel, ensuring consistent growth, improved engagement, and message alignment with wider marketing and business priorities

  • Support senior leaders with guidance, frameworks, and content that help them strengthen their professional presence on LinkedIn

Global event planning

  • Own the global events strategy and annual events calendar, identifying and managing high-impact industry forums, conferences, and exhibitions that maximise brand visibility and client engagement

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure successful event execution, from messaging and stand assets to speaker briefs and post-event amplification

Business development & client communications

  • Oversee the development of compelling client-facing materials, proposals, and pitch content to support commercial teams in securing new business and strengthening partnerships

  • Ensure consistency, professionalism, and brand alignment across all BD and client communications

Cross-functional collaboration & influence

  • Collaborate closely with senior leaders, regional teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather insights, inform messaging, and drive alignment across markets

  • Influence without authority, navigating a matrixed organisation to push initiatives forward and ensure cohesive communication delivery globally

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Define KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure the effectiveness of communications, PR, and event activities

  • Use insights to refine strategy, optimise performance, and demonstrate the value of activity

Knowledge, skills, and experience required:

  • 8+ years’ experience in PR/communications (in‑house and/or agency), with proven senior-level leadership and a track record of shaping communications strategies that support commercial objectives

  • Demonstrable success operating in matrixed, multi‑stakeholder environments, influencing senior leaders as a trusted adviser without formal authority

  • Skilled in coaching and advising senior leaders, combining confidence and diplomacy to ensure authentic, consistent and reputation‑enhancing communication

  • Highly self‑driven and effective in fast‑paced environments, managing a varied workload with autonomy and strong prioritisation

  • Strong track record of delivering earned media programmes, alongside owned channel strategy and content planning, with proven ability to optimise channel performance

  • Proven capability in managing retained PR agencies, including briefing, performance management, and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to craft high‑quality content across formats

  • Strong analytical mindset, comfortable using insights and evaluation frameworks to optimise strategy and demonstrate value

  • Experience managing budgets and optimising spend, ensuring effective, value‑driven use of resources

Desirable, but not essential:

  • Previous experience in the travel, hospitality or service-based industries
