The successful Year 2 Teacher will have the opportunity to work in an environment that values education and learning, utilizing their skills and experience to make a meaningful difference to the lives of students. As a Year 2 teacher in this lovely and progressive school, you will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects to Year 2 students. It will provide you with an opportunity to support and motivate students to reach their full potential and work alongside a supportive and excellent team of staff.

Year 2 Teacher responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to Year 2 students, using creativity and innovation to keep the students engaged.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing formal and informal feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan, prepare and participate in school events, including extracurricular activities.
- Establish and maintain open and positive communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Utilise a student-centered approach to teaching, encouraging independent thinking, and problem-solving.
- Incorporate inclusive practices into teaching approaches, recognising the diverse needs of students.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping, including attendance records and student data, in line with the school's policies.
Year 2 Teacher requirements:
- QTS, PGCE and strong academic record
- Experience teaching key stage 1 students.
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly organised and able to manage competing demands effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Passionate about teaching and creating a positive learning environment.
Salary
The salary for this Year 2 position will be paid to scale on a permanent contract to scale MPS/UPS.
