Frontend Developer Lead (Chinese Speaking Preferred)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Frontend Developer (Chinese Speaking) to join our fast-growing iGaming team. As a technical leader, you will drive the design, architecture, and delivery of cutting-edge web products for players across Asia. You will lead by example in writing exceptional code, mentoring team members, and collaborating closely with Product, Design, Backend, and Operations teams.

This role requires fluent Mandarin or Cantonese proficiency (spoken and written) to communicate effectively with stakeholders, partners, and development teams in Europe and Asian markets.

You will be responsible for:

• Lead the frontend architecture, design, and development of our web-based iGaming platform.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric interfaces.
• Champion best practices in coding, performance optimization, responsive design, and accessibility.
• Mentor and guide frontend engineers, conducting code reviews and fostering a growth mindset.
• Work closely with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or WebSocket-based services.
• Ensure projects meet regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., responsible gaming, security).
• Drive continuous improvements in frontend development processes and tooling.
• Act as a technical representative for Chinese-speaking stakeholders and technical partners.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in frontend development, with 2+ years in a leadership or senior position.
• Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese (spoken & written); strong English communication.
• Strong expertise in React (or Vue/Angular with willingness to switch).
• Proven experience building scalable, responsive, high-performance web applications.
• Solid understanding of modern frontend architecture, state management, and modular development.
• Experience working in the iGaming, sports betting, or fintech industries (preferred).
