Product Manager - Fraud and Fincrime

Investec is seeking an experienced  Product Manager to lead our Fraud and Fincrime Platform team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping the technology strategy and operations that protect our clients and the organisation from financial crime. The role holds accountability for all technology aspects related to financial crime and fraud, and the role covers tech strategy, change delivery, technical product delivery and IT operations.

The Fraud and Fincrime Platform team is dedicated to developing and managing cutting-edge technology solutions for fraud detection and financial crime management within Investec. An ideal candidates should possess strong change management expertise, strategic vision, and leadership qualities. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Engagement : Build outstanding relationships with stakeholders and consumers to shape the product areacapabilities, drive adoption, and maximise value and satisfaction.
• Product Strategy : Own all aspects of the product strategy, including context, purpose, and vision, while managing the product roadmap.
• Performance Metrics : Define and measure KPIs and OKRs to assess product success and inform future developments.
• Product Development : Oversee best-in-class product development practices, including backlog management, quarterly planning, and continuous improvement of workflows.
• Application Ownership : Take responsibility for all applications within the product, ensuring the hygiene of application-level artifacts and roadmaps.
• Team Leadership : Lead the product team, providing clarity of purpose, identifying growth opportunities, and managing performance.
• Commercial Focus : Drive the commercial viability of the product, ensuring transparency of costs and alignment with business objectives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with other leaders to align with platform strategy and contribute actively to the wider leadership team.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in product and change management, particularly in the financial services industry, with a focus on fraud and financial crime.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
• A detail-oriented mindset that retains a big-picture perspective.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
• A proactive approach with a strong interest in continuous improvement and innovative ways of working.

As part of our collaborative & agile culture, our working week is 4 days in the office and one day remote.
