The role:

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Creative Director to lead the conceptualisation and execution of our travel trade shows and events. As the Creative Director at This is Beyond, you will be responsible for guiding our creative team and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class experiences that surpass industry standards and captivate our audience. This role requires a strong understanding of travel trends, a keen eye for design, and a passion for creating event experiences.
What This is Beyond needs is someone who can oversee the overall creative vision and strategy for each brand and campaign. This role is centred on big-picture thinking defining the concept, tone, and direction that align with business goals. You will guide and approve the work of art directors, designers, and copywriters to ensure all creative output fits the overarching vision.
In short, the Creative Director will:
Lead creative strategy and storytelling.
Set the vision and ensure brand consistency.
Manage stakeholders relationships and the creative team.
Approve final concepts and campaigns.
What you will do:
Creative Vision and Strategy:
Develop and communicate a compelling creative vision for each event, aligning with the company's brand values and overall objectives. Collaborate with Event Directors and Marketing Managers to define long-term creative strategies that elevate the company's reputation and position in the travel industry.
Design Direction:
Oversee the design process from initial concept sketches to the creation of visual assets and collaterals, ensuring a consistent and visually stunning brand representation across all touchpoints. Provide creative direction for stage designs, exhibition layouts, interactive installations, and other event elements.
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a team of creative professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Set clear goals and expectations while providing feedback and guidance to help team members reach their full potential.
Budget Management:
Ensure that the creative department operates efficiently within budget constraints, optimising resources and identifying cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality.
Event Evaluation and Improvement:
Conduct post-event evaluations, gathering feedback from attendees, clients, and team members to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned in future events.
What you will need:
Proven experience as a Creative Director, Head of Creative, or similar creative leadership role, ideally in an agency or within the travel, events, or hospitality industry.
A strong portfolio showcasing successful event concepts and designs for high-end brands and high-end clientele.
Proficiency in design software, project management tools, and multimedia production techniques.
Outstanding leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse creative team.
Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to articulate and sell creative concepts to stakeholders.
A passion for excellence, attention to detail, and a dedication to delivering unparalleled event experiences.
Campaign and preferably events experience.

Position Type: Permanent, with a 4-day working week. Our hybrid model includes 3 days in the office (located in Shepherd's Bush), 1 day working from home, and every Friday as a non-working day as standard.
