About Mindshare: A Leading WPP Media Brand

Mindshare delivers Good Growth for its clients. As "Growth Architects," we drive growth that benefits all stakeholders - better for people, planet, and business - by using media with intention. This approach creates more meaningful connections with consumers, increases consumer trust in the brand, and delivers better outcomes for all stakeholders.

Role Summary and Impact

Role Objective

We plan & buy advertising communications for clients across all channels including TV, radio, and digital platforms like paid search and social media. Together with our clients we want to understand how we are getting on - we want to know what is working and what is not - meaning we need insightful data at our fingertips to power decisions.

We're not just looking for someone who builds data pipelines, we're looking for someone who can collaborate with non-technical teams to help identify new use cases for data and cloud tech, and help drive efficiencies across Mindshare and for our clients.

You will:
  • Develop and manage automated data, ML and AI tools for our internal media teams and our clients leveraging the latest features in AI, ML & cloud computing.
  • Work closely with Business Intelligence and Marketing Science teams to build data models and automated solutions that drive value for clients.
  • Build and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines across an ever-evolving variety of data sources and platforms.
  • Work with our central DevOps team to set up and manage cloud environments (we mainly use GCP) in-line with industry and Choreograph best-practices
  • Manage and mentor junior colleagues, work with the team to elevate and accelerate data democratisation across the business.
  • Collaborate with non-technical teams to identify opportunities for data, AI or automation to enhance their or our client's day-to-day operations.
  • Keep up to date with the latest AI and cloud technology, investigate potential use cases and build POCs.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation and design specifications.
Skills and Experience

At WPP Media, we believe in the power of our culture and our people. It's what elevates us to deliver exceptional experiences for both our clients and each other. In this role it will be critical to embrace WPP & WPP Media's shared core values:
  • Be Extraordinary by Leading Collectively to Inspire transformational Creativity.
  • Create an Open environment by Balancing People and Client Experiences by Cultivating Trust.
  • Lead Optimistically by Championing Growth and Development to Mobilize the Enterprise.
About you:
  • Passionate about solving real-world business problems with data & technology.
  • Advanced SQL skills, with the ability to perform complex data transformations on large datasets in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to lead requirements gathering conversations with non-technical teams and translate their requirements into technical, data-driven solutions.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining cloud environments, data pipelines and automated tools/services.
  • Experience implementing DevOps or MLOps best practices.
  • Comfortable working with APIs to extract data.
  • Understanding of data warehouse design principles and best practices.
  • Programming experience in Python is desirable but not essential.
  • Prior experience working in a cloud, data or ML engineering role.
  • Solid MS Office skills, ability to create good presentations and technical documents.
