On-Site Finance Opportunity
Your new company
You’ll be joining a well-established professional services business operating within a fast-paced, commercial environment. The organisation has a strong reputation in its specialist sector and is currently undergoing a period of finance transformation, creating the need for additional hands-on support within the finance function.This is an on-site role, based in the office five days per week.
Your new role
As a Temporary Finance Operations & Accounting Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day transactional finance activities, enabling senior team members to focus on strategic projects.Your responsibilities will include:
Managing day-to-day accounts payable and receivable activities
Preparing split payment reports for processing
Maintaining and updating financial records, including client data and payment transactions
Data entry of booking notices, updates, and payment schedule changes
Tracking and reconciling client accounts and resolving discrepancies
Monitoring split commission payments and outstanding receivables
Supporting the preparation of HMRC and regulatory returns
Assisting with audit preparation and internal compliance documentation
Using a bespoke accounting system alongside Sage 200 and Excel for reconciliations, reporting, and analysis
Contributing to process improvements where possible
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:
2-5 years’ experience in a finance, accounting, or transactional support role
Hands-on experience with accounting systems (Sage 200 preferred)
Strong Excel skills (including pivot tables and lookups)
Experience with bank reconciliations, credit control, and financial reporting
A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes
Familiarity with UK financial and HMRC requirements (desirable)
