About the Role:
As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to assist at KS5. You will provide targeted academic support, help deliver engaging lessons, and play a key role in raising attainment in English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Provide one-to-one and small group interventions focused on literacy and comprehension
- Assist students with essay writing, analysis, and exam preparation
- Help plan engaging learning resources alongside teaching staff
- Encourage a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking
What We’re Looking For:
- A 2:1 or above in English, English Literature, or a related subject
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach
- Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
